President Viktor Yuschenko is confident that Ukraine and Poland will prepare and hold the European Football Championship of 2012. Yuschenko told this in an interview to Polish publications.
"It's not an ordinary project. I don't have a slightest doubt that we'll prepare and hold it decently," the president said. Apart from this, he noted that the preparations for ensuring quality holding of Euro 2012 would last until April 2008.

Yuschenko also pointed that mutual relations between Poland and Ukraine are strategic in nature. "I'm confident that we should value, multiply and be proud of the bilateral luggage we have," the president said.
He and Polish journalists also discussed the visa regime with Poland after the country's entry of the Schengen zone, Ukraine's integration with the European Union and NATO, domestic political situation in the country within the context of the coalition and government creation. As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Ukraine and Poland won the UEFA-organized bid to host the 2012 European soccer championship in April.
According to the Ukrainian-Polish joint bid, the opening match of the championships will be played in Warsaw (Poland) and the final match in Kyiv.
