Footballer and coach Leszek Jezierski died
Leszek Jezierski, Polish international footballer and coach has died after suffering a heart attack. He was 78 years old.

Born in the eastern city of Lublin, Jezierski played for top club Legia Warszawa. In 1954 he made his debut for the national team against Bulgaria. He later went on to play for his country six times. His greatest success came as a coach, first with Lodz Widzew in 1975 when he helped the club to promotion to the First Division. After retiring from professional coaching he worked as a sport commentator for print and broadcasting media.
