Minister of Sport met on Monday with the Chinese investors. 'It's a great pleasure to see so many people interested in the civilisation project which is UEFA EURO 2012' - said the Minister opening a Seminar for investors and businessmen from the People's Republic of China organised by PL.2012.
Mirosław Drzewiecki recalled that already during his first visit to China, he met with the representatives of companies, which were building, inter alia, railway stations, sport facilities and airports, before the Olympic Games. Few weeks later he went to China together with Deputy Prime Minister Grzegorz Schetyna. 'In this way we wanted to reassure local companies that we are greatly interested in their participation in tenders for construction of sport facilities before Euro 2012. They have great experience within the scope, which they showed by building facilities for the Olympic Games' said Minister of Sport.
He encouraged Chinese guests to familiarise themselves with investments that will be soon implemented in Poland in relation to preparations for UEFA EURO 2012. He also ensured Chinese companies that they will participate in tenders according to the same rules as all other companies.
President of the Public Procurement Office -Jacek Sadowy, presented to the Chinese guests the procurement rules in Poland. He put particular emphasis on public procurements within the field of construction. He also informed where one can seek information helpful in preparing the tenders. Whilst Department of Migration Director in the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy - Janusz Grzyb, provided Chinese businessmen with information on the provisions concerning employment of foreigners in Poland.

Seminar for businessmen from the People's Republic of China is another meeting with potential investors and contractors organised by PL.2012. Up to now discussions were carried out with investors from Portugal, the Netherlands, Japan, Spain, Germany, Norway, Italy and Turkey.
The meeting was attended not only by the Chinese businessmen and Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Poland, but also representatives from the Ministry of Sport and Tourism, Ministry of Infrastructure, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Interior and Administration, Public Procurement Office, Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency, General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, Airports, PKP S.A., PKP PLK S.A., Sino-Polish Foundation for Economic and Cultural Exchange, host cities of the UEFA EURO 2012 and the PL.2012.
