Germany expressed preparedness to help Ukraine get ready for the 2012 European football finals.
The press service of First Deputy Prime Minister Oleksandr Turchynov reported this, citing German Ambassador to Ukraine Reinhard Schaefers.
Turchynov and Schaefers met to discuss bilateral cooperation in economic and finance areas, the press service says.
The parties also discussed political situation in Ukraine and this country's accession to the World Trade Organization.

As Ukrainian News reported, in August 2007 Ukraine invited Germany, in particular, Bavarian companies, to take part in implementation of programs on preparation for finals of Euro 2012.
In April 2007, Ukraine and Poland won the bid to co-host UEFA's 2012 European football championship.
According to their joint bid, the opening match of the championship will be played in Warsaw and the final match in Kyiv.
